Posted by After I had glued up my second bench top half today, I had about twenty minutes before my kids got home from school, so decided to kill some time before we would all stop for afternoon tea.
Simple wood spirals from a narrow piece of pine I found in the kindeling bucket, and a chisel. I was mesmerised.
Oh, and a word to the wise, after the photo of me making a spiral, I had to sharpen out a great big nick from the cutting edge. I’ll give you one guess what happened. Hint: nothing but the wood is holding the chisel in that photo.
